What Does My Fee Cover?

I am aware that the charge for these groups can be quite a lot for many families and you may want to understand what this fee covers.

There are many expenses associated with the running of this business and I do want you to know that when I took over in January 2008, I lowered the fee from $280 to $275 per session. I also raised the pay of the facilitator by 10% as there had been no change in their salaries for over 8 years.

The costs involved include:

• The fee per session for the facilitator’s salary
• Rental fee for the space where the group is held
• Equipment such as backjack chairs, pillows, plates, cups, snacks etc.
• Insurance coverage
• Ongoing education and certification for the facilitators
• Taxes
• Advertising
• Printing
• Office and computer supplies

I am still looking for ways to make groups accessible to more moms and have a scholarship fund you can donate to or apply to use. I am always open to payment arrangements over a time period that will work best for your family. I am also happy to discuss any of this with you  if you have further questions or concerns.
