Crown Beach and Crab Cove in Alameda
This link is has a good map. Possible meeting place at the Crab Cove Parking Lot.

From downtown Oakland: Take the Posey Tube (Webster Street Tube) and follow Webster Street until it dead-ends into Central. Make a right turn onto Central Ave. and a quick left onto McKay (after Foster's Freeze). McKay is a very small street that only goes towards the Bay. Take it until it dead-ends into Crab's Cove. Park on the street or in the parking lot.

High street exit off 880 or 580 and head West towards Alameda. Take High street to Encinal and turn Right. The cafe will be on your right between Versailles and Broadway.

Starbucks/Alameda Walk
Another meeting place that moms groups have used. Bring stroller. You can feed/change babies and have coffee before going for a stroll.

Take Higway 980 to 880 South Exit at 23rd Street and follow signs to Alameda (you'll cross Park Street Bridge). 23rd St turns into Park Street. Drive down Park Street (cross about 15 intersections) Turn right on Otis Drive. (The mall is on your left). Turn left just before the Office Max. Pass Mervyn's. Pass Blockbuster. Turn left at stop sign. Starbucks is located just next to Albertson. Park nearby.
