Several Possible Meeting Places:
1. Fountain
Grand Avenue and 580 Pass under the freeway, you'll see the fountain by the lake. Meet in front of the fountain under the "gazebo" type thing

2. Fairyland Parking Lot

Go under 580, continue on Grand until you see the entrance to Fairyland on the Left. There's a stoplight there and it's a fairly substantial entrance with a little parking attendant booth in the middle of it. Continue past this booth into the Lake Merritt/Lakeside Park If you continue further, you can meet near the Duck Feeding Area on the right just past a building called the Children's Arts and Science Center. There is a sign that says "Duck Feeding Area" and there are benches and there is shade. We can meet there and then choose our route around the park. There are parking spaces everywhere along this road. If you get to a stop sign near the childrens playground, you've gone too far.
