Bring water and food if you plan to picnic along the way. Sunhats and sunscreen especially for afternoon walks. It can be hot. Occasionally windy and may want a sweatshirt.

NOTE: It's possible some times of year that South Park Drive will be closed to traffic, in order to protect the newt population of Tilden Park. If South Park Drive is closed, you will need to continue driving along Grizzly Peak Boulevard to the next intersection beyond South Park Drive and take a RIGHT onto Golf Course Drive.
